The Basics of Multi-Wheel Roulette

The straightforward gameplay of roulette contributes in making the creative minds of various game providers to tweak its simple rules into a riveting betting action. As a result, you can enjoy a diverse list of fun and rewarding roulette variants online. Among the list, multi-wheel roulette is one of the noteworthy options. What makes this variant unique is it gives you the opportunity to play on multiple wheels simultaneously, multiplying the fun and the chances of winning on each spin. But before you spin your way to big wins, you must know how to play the game first. Let us start with the basics of multi-wheel roulette.

Multi-Wheel Roulette Bets

Multi-wheel roulette follows the same rules of European roulette, with a glaring difference of multiple wheels. Each wheel consists of 36 red and black pockets and a single green 0. Although the game features six or more wheels, it uses only a single betting table. There are many types of roulette wagers possible on a single-0 roulette table, and since the game shares the same rules with European roulette, both games feature similar betting options, such as:

Inside Bets

Inside bets are roulette wagers that cover specific, adjacent, and certain range of numbers inside the main field of the betting table. Here are the options you can choose when you want to play using inside bets.

  • Straight Bet –covers wager on a single specific number
  • Split Bet – covers two adjacent numbers on the table (e.g. 1-2, 13-16, 27-30)
  • Street Bet – covers three consecutive numbers on the same row (e.g. 1-2-3, 25-26-27, 34-35-36)
  • Corner Bet – covers four numbers in a square shape; the numbers included must be within two consecutive rows (e.g. 2-3-5-6, 7-8-10-11, 16-17-19-20)
  • Line Bet – covers six consecutive numbers that are located in two consecutive rows (e.g.1-2-3 and 4-5-6, 7-8-9 and 10-11-12)

Roulette inside bets

Each of the bets holds different odds and payouts. If you want to go for bigger wins, then you should bet on inside bets. Notice that as the numbers being covered by each bets becomes narrower, the higher the payout becomes. The catch is you risk draining your bankroll in the long term as the higher the payouts of a bet is, the lower the odds are.

Outside Bets

These refer to all bets that you place outside the main layout of the table. These wagers cover larger group of numbers than inside bets, giving you favorable odds.

  • Column Bet – covers the twelve numbers on an each 2-to-1 labeled column (e.g. 1-4-7-10-13-16-19-22-25-28-31-34)
  • Dozen Bet – covers the first, second, and third dozens of numbers on the table (e.g. 1 to 12, 13 to 24, and 25 to 36)
  • Odd or Even Bets – covers all odd or all even numbers on the table
  • Red or Black Bets – covers all the 18 red pockets or all the 18 black pockets on the table
  • Low and High Bets – covers the low numbers (1 to 18) and high numbers (19 to 36)

Roulette outside bets

The odds and payouts on outside bets hold an inverse relationship. Compared with inside bets, outside bets hold better odds of winning, thanks to the wider set of the possible outcomes that they cover.  So if you prefer to play safe, opt for outside bets.

Multi-Wheel Roulette Gameplay

Now that you know the different bets you can use in the game, your next step is to learn how to play multi-wheel roulette. At first glance, the game might look complicated with the multiple wheels spinning at once. In contrast, the rules of the game are simple and easy to follow. Your objective when playing multi-wheel roulette is to bet on the pocket where the ball will land after each spin.

1| Place Your Bets

Before the game proper starts, you have the option to set as many bets you like on either inside bets or outside bets. Simply place your chips on the numbers or group of numbers on the single grid. Note that most betting sites require a minimum betting amount for you to play. Generally, you can bet from 1 to 25 units, but other multi-wheel roulette games allow you to bet up to 50 units.

2| Activate the Wheels

The game usually features eight wheels, and you can pick how many roulette wheels you would like to activate per spin. Most multi-wheel roulette games, like the titles from Microgaming, make your initial wager applicable to all the wheels you will activate. For instance, if you bet US$10 on odd or even bet, and you activate all the eight wheels, your bet will automatically multiply to US$80. Similarly, activating only two wheels will require you to bet US$20. If you wish to play with fewer wheels, simply click on the wheels you like to disable.

3| Spin

When all your wagering conditions are set, click Spin to make all the active wheels spin simultaneously. If your bet comes up on any of the wheels, you win. The best part is each wheel is independent of each other. This means that if your bet is hit on multiple wheels, you will be paid in multiple folds. Suppose you bet US$10 on Even and four out of the eight active wheels had the ball landing on even numbers, you will then receive US$40 in return.

With multiple wheels spinning at the same time, multi-wheel roulette definitely gives you many chances to hit the jackpot. Imagine your bet coming out on all the wheels of the game. That will give you a heap of prizes. But while betting on multiple ways for your bet to pay off can be gripping, doing so requires you to have a big bankroll. Betting on each of the active wheels will make you spend bigger, especially if you play frequently. With this in mind, play multi-wheel roulette only when you have enough funds to cover your bets.
